The Kansas Summer Flute Festival is a flute camp for students of all levels and abilities who are interested in improving their flute and music skills while having fun at the same time! Throughout the festival, professional flutists and educators, Annie Gnojek and Mary Kirkendoll, will work with the students on all aspects of being a better flute player including basic flute care and techniques, ensemble playing, and advanced lessons on breathing and articulation.


This year's festival will be held in Murphy Hall on the University of Kansas campus.


Session 1: Jr. High Level


June 8-13, 2009
10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

KSFF Honor Recital - Saturday, June, 13 at 2:30 p.m.


Spend a week with Mary and Annie making music, friends, and having fun improving your flute playing. Expand your knowledge of:

  • tone production
  • technique
  • articulation
  • breath support
  • ensemble playing (duets, trios, flute choir)

Additionally, all students will perform in the KSFF Honor Recital.

KSFF Honor Recital - Saturday, June, 13 at 2:30 p.m.
